2006

Glitterhouse, April 2006

To keep his true-blue American singer-songwriter roots music authentic, Markus once more traveled to Nashville, TN. to record his new album with some friends and colleagues. Embellishing his songs proved an easy job for Dave Coleman, Dave Jacques, Fats Kaplin, and Bryan Owings because Markus brought material to the table that is first rate in every aspect. With few examples, Markus concentrates on ballads on this album and tells his stories with a dark, raspy voice. A steel guitar is gleaming in the background, a bow caresses the violin strings, upright bass and drums add carefully placed accents to this wonderfully warm sonic landscape. Just the way we like it. A balsamic sound.
