Howdy folks,
the time has come. We're getting ready for the big record release party in my hometown of Wuerzburg this Saturday, Dec. 8, at the Künstlerkeller Bronnbach, 8 pm. We'll be playing lots of new songs and have invited a bunch of cool guests to jam with us. Be there or be square.
I'm also very much looking forward to our Friday night gig (Dec. 7, 8pm) at the Kunstkaufhaus in Regensburg. Andi and I will be joined by the fabulous Robert Hasleder so I'm sure it'll be a fun night.
My last gig of the year - and quite probably one of the highlights - will be the Blue Rose Christmas Party on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Blues Garage in Hannover-Isernhagen. Fabulous German fingerpicker and blues guitarist extraordinaire Biber Herrmann will be my sidekick for the night and I'm sure we'll be having lots of fun. We'll also be joining the all-star jam along with David Knopfler, Julian Dawson, Todd Thibaud, Joseph Parsons, Chris Cacavas, Hank Shizzoe, Ad Vanderveen and the Sand Rubies. Don't miss out on this.
A short recap of our happenings in November.
I re-wrote a verse of the Phil Madeira co-write "Givin' Up On Dreamin'" and now I'm very happy with the song.
At a recent gig Andi and I played at Beavers in Miltenberg (a real fine club and a real good night), the reviewer considered "Dreamin'" one of the show's highlights. Check out the review in the press section.
Two days later, Robert Oberbeck and I had a good time playing a 30-minute set at the Emergenza Festival in Frankfurt. Some great pictures were taken that night. Check them out in the gallery.
We'´ll also be adding a nice feature article from the Main-Echo to the press section.
There's more press coming in and the first reviews of The Things That Count should also be appearing soon. We'll update the website and keep it current.
A couple months ago, Andi and I spent a night at a local theater in Wuerzburg filming live performances of a few songs from the new album. This material is currently being edited and I have high hopes that we'll be posting the first song real soon here, on YouTube, and at my myspace sitel
So look around and drop us a line. Come out to the shows and, most importantly, order your copy of The Things That Count for 13.50 Euros (plus postage) or the get the twofer of Things That Count and the Live CD for 20 Euros by sending an email to markusrill@yahoo.com
Take care, folks, see y'all soon, and happy holidays!
Markus
