Hiya guys,
everything is in flux these days. Lots of stuff to decide about the new album and other upcoming opportunities that I wish I could tell you about but I'm afraid I'll look like a fool if I brag about 'em now and they end up not coming through.
First things first: The release of "The Things That Count", my new album, has been pushed back to January. Might not sound like great news at first but I'm very happy about it. The thing is that everyone, and I mean everyone, is coming out with albums in October and November just in time for the Christmas business. I've already got my sights on the new Springsteen & John Fogerty albums and I bet there's lots more good stuff and also some no-so-great big budget stuff coming out in the next few months. That would make it incredibly hard for our little record to get any media attention.
And since we feel it deserves some attention and will certainly have a better shot at getting it, it'll be released in January.
We will be celebrating the album release with a concert on Dec 8 in Wuerzburg/Germany. And I will be able to sell the album there, a few weeks before its official release.
I've been getting into video recently, spending lots of time checking out great stuff on YouTube. There's a live performance of Shawn Colvin there that blows my mind every time I see it.
Anyway, a new-found music fan from England, Robin Burgess has been getting into my music lately and was inspired to create some videos for my music. Please do check out his work on
YouTube by doing a search for my name. You'll find two live performances recorded this January in Berlin and three of Robin's videos.
Be sure to pay special attention to "Haunted House". That's the song that'll be featured in the American independent movie "Lost On The B-Side" coming to theaters in the US any day now. More news and some great clips from the movie at
www.lostonthebside.com
The video Robin did will also go on the DVD.
You can find another cool video of the Blue Rose Christmas party last December of me doing "Me & Bonnie Parker" at

Check it out. We've also uploaded the title track of the new album right there.
Two upcoming gigs this month: Saturday, September 22, me & my friend
Robert Oberbeck will be rockin' the
Künstlerkeller Bronnbach in Wuerzburg. The German ProFolk organization have invited us to perform at their their annual get-together. There'll also be some jamming afterwards so it should be a fun night. Come on out!
The week after, Andi Obieglo and I will be playing in the heart of Bavaria at the
Gasthaus Sorgenfrei in Altendorf. There's nice folks there and Andi and I are looking forward to getting back together. Four weeks without a gig seems like a long time this year.
I've posted a bunch of live pics from the U&D summer festival in the
gallery.
And there's reviews coming in for the Live album that I posted in the
reviews section.
You can still order your copy for just ten Euro plus postage by mailing me at

Stay in touch, guys, check out all the new stuff here, there & everywhere, and support live music!
