Hiya folks,
Please note: Due to bad weather and worse forecasts our outdoors gig at the Würzburg Hafensommer scheduled for Thursday, August 9, has been pushed back to Tuesday, August 14, at 8.30 pm. Andi & I will be playing a full concert in Wuerzburg's nicely renovated river area with a whole bunch of new songs and all your favorites from the previous albums.
And on Saturday, August 11, we'll be performing an hour-long set at the Ringparkfest in Würzburg at 5.30 pm.
Plenty of good news:
The album "The Things That Count" will be released by Blue Rose Records in October. Get ready.
In the process of getting ready you might want to treat yourself to our new Live CD chock full of 15 songs performed in acoustic duo fashion at the Lab in Stuttgart with Andi Obieglo accompanying me on piano, accordion, or acoustic guitar and the Licca Lounge in Landsberg/Lech with Robert Hasleder contributing mandolin, dobro, and Weissenborn lap slide. The album features a couple of brand new songs, a bunch of reworked tracks from Price Of Sin and Hobo Dream as well as a couple surprises.
Oh, and we got T-shirts with a very fashionable "Markus Rill" logo that'll make you look mighty good.
You can order the Live CD for 10 Euros plus shipping and the T-shirts for 15 Euros plus shipping (girlie shirts or sizes S, M, and L in black or burgundy red) by sending an email to
markusrill@yahoo.com
Also available now is a 4-CD+1 DVD box from last year's Blue Rose Christmas Party featuring performances by Elliott Murphy, Julian Dawson, Iain Matthews, Hank Shizzoe, Ad Vanderveen, The Brandos and myself. Everybody plays a short set of their solo stuff and then we all team up as the Blue Rose Rockestra to romp through some of our favorite rock'n'roll classics. It was a fun night and the box set is just as fun. You can get it at
www.bluerose-records.com or straight from me if you send a mail to
