Hiya folks and happy new year,

sorry for being late, guys, but my computer crisis took a dramatic turn. Anyway, now I got a new computer and a lot less money in my pocket. But at least I'm finally back online with a bunch of news.

First things first: I'm leaving for England tomorrow morning to play my first ever dates in the UK. I'm bringing along my compadres Felix Himmler on bass and Clemens Noelle on drums. They'll be backing me, we'll all be backing the fabulous Ms. Anny Celsi from L.A., Anny will be joining us and we'll all have a great time. Least that's the plan.

Here's the dates:
Jan 20, Pilgrim, Liverpool
Jan 21, The Bassment, Chelmsford
Jan 22, Electro Acoustic Lounge, London
Jan 24, The Welcome Inn, Manchester-Whitefield
Jan 25, The Beehive, Swindon

Do come out and see the traveling "Black Dress & Boots" revue.

Other news: The South Florida Folk Singer-Songwriter competition picked me as one of their finalists, along with a guy I greatly admire, Greg Trooper from Nashville, TN.
And - tada - the Narrative Song Competition jury picked my song "The Price You Pay For Sin" as 1st prize winner in the appropriately titled "Other Human Relationships" category. Well, yeehaw.

There'll be more good stuff happening in February/March when I'll be embarking on a US trip to play some festivals, some clubs, and do some recording. I'll fill you in on the details in early February.

Y'all take care & be well,
Markus
