Heyho folks,

this just in: My songs "Broken Puppet" and "Dying Bed" both made it very far in the Unisong Songwriting Contest. "Broken Puppet" was among the Top 20 finalists in the Americana category, "Dying Bed" received an honorabole mention which means, I suppose, that it made it into the semi-finals.
Well, I'm real happy about this acknowledgment.

I also played some very enjoyable shows in June. I had a blast playing with Andi Obieglo at the local bookstore "13 1/2" and talking a little about novels, short stories, and poems that have influenced my writing. For the most part, the folks that came out weren't your regular rock'n'roll crowd - which was what we had been hoping for.
I also took a trip to Regensburg and played a fun show at Café Letterario accompanied by the wonderful Robert Hasleder on dobro, Weissenborn, mandolin and banjo. Hubert Treml and Marybeth D'Amico sat in and we had ourselves a ball. We'll be back there later this year.
And last Sunday Andi and I had a good time playing the akw beer garden.

Folks, I am so happy I get to play with musicians of this calibre. It's a real joyful thing to be communicating musically with great sensitive guys with wonderful musicianship. They make me play better and in turn, I think, every concert these days turns into a worthwhile listening experience. We're enjoying ourselves and I think it translates.

So do come on out to our upcoming shows in July.
On Sunday, July 16, we'll be playing a full band Gunslingers rock'n'roll show at the Weinfest am Stein and on Wednesday, July 27, Andi and I will take our thing to the Blindeninstitut of Wuerzburg. This concert will also be free to the general public. So come on out, have a good time, and support the blind and the visually impaired.

Reviews are still coming in and I've posted a whole bunch of new ones in the press section. I'm also very thankful that we're getting quite a bit of radio airplay in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain and England. Very cool.

In other words ... if you haven't ordered your copy of The Price Of Sin yet, it's time to jump on the bandwagon.
