Howdy folks,

I'm back from Austin where I spent three great weeks making music, making friends, and seeing some great bands. Woohoo, I had me some fun.

Before I left for the US, we played a couple very fun shows in Germany. Thanks to all of you for coming out to the Los Solitary Men show the night winter came back to Wuerzburg. We had a great time with you.
And it got even better the next night when Andi and I performed an acoustic duo set at the Amviehtheater in Arnstein. It's really wonderful when you realize you don't need smoke and mirrors - just two guys playing a bunch of honest songs - and it works. At least it felt that way to us and we got a great review you can read here.

And, aw man, how good it was to be back in Austin. Hadn't been there since my college days and a visit in 97. Saw some great, great music at SXSW. Too much good stuff to mention everything. My favorite concert was Eliza Gilkyson's festival showcase at The Parish.
I got lucky and played a whole bunch of short sets and guest slots here & there. I guess it took me a gig or two to warm up to the showcase format but after that, things went very well. And I made some great new music friends in Mark Viator, Brennen Leigh, Nels Andrews, AJ Roach, Teri Joyce, Sunny Sweeney,  and Chip Dolan - and I hung out and enjoyed the company of my friends Jim Stringer and Karen Poston.
If you have some time on your hands, do check out their sites  - all of them are real fine folks and wonderful musicians!

I posted some pics taken in Austin here.

The first reviews for The Price Of Sin are coming in. Read my notes on the making of the album, check the reviews - and order your copy! And drop us a note in the guest book or write an email telling us what you think of the new album!

Got a solo show coming up at the Blues Bar in Bamberg coming up on April 15. And what's bound to be a fun night with Los Solitary Men and some great guests on May 2 at the akw in Wurzburg. Come on out!

Be good, folks, take care,
Markus
