Hiya folks,

oh man, what a wonderful time we had at Wuerzburg's Umsonst & Draußen festival. You guys made us feel so welcome, it was just great. Thank you.
And thank you to the wonderful performers who joined us on a very special night: Fludid & Benny from local heroes mcf, Andi Obieglo from max.radio, Chris Fest from Trailer Trash, Hubert Treml with his collaborators Rudi Kraus and Franz Schuier and, last but not least, the lovely Janina Klabes.
We'll soon have a whole bunch of beautiful pictures taken at the festival up in the gallery.

Speaking of which, there's new pics in the gallery from a gig I played at Blue Rose president Edgar Heckmann's birthday party. I had a great time jamming with Sean Staples and Steve Mayone from Todd Thibaud's band as well as participating in the all-star jam with Elliott Murphy, Todd Thibaud, Joseph Parsons, and many more. Check out those pictures.
And there's also a new review from an acoustic campfire gig I played to be found in the articles section.

July will see me play an acoustic show in a very interesting trio with Andi Obieglo on piano and Felix Himmler on upright bass. July 15 at the Immerhin. I'm sure that'll be a fun gig.

There will also be a festival gig at the Karlstadt Umsonst & Draußen with my rockabilly project. We used to call that band "Los Solitary Men", now we're going under the name of Will Handsome. But either way, we'll rock'n'roll and countrify y'all on July 24.

A personal note: I'm sure some of you have heard about my plans to move over to the US. Well, unfortunately not every dream comes true - and this seems to be one of those that doesn't. I don't like it but I guess things happen that way.

Be that as it may, I'm planning to start work on the new record this fall. I got a bunch of very strong songs (I think) already written. You've heard some of them at recent gigs, you'll hear more in upcoming shows. We'll work hard at setting up a bunch of shows in the near future now that I know I'll be staying in Germany.

On the up side: I'll probably be around for next year's soccer world cup in my native country.

Treat yourselves well and stay tuned, folks,
Markus
