Hey everybody,

this has been a good month so far with very fun gigs and a highry successful debut of the new Gunslingers rhythm section. I feel like the addition of upright bass allows us to swing a little wider stylistically. I also love how it opens up the sound on some of the slower or midtempo numbers. And I dig how the new songs we're playing fit in very well with our other material and yet they add a somewhat different feel.

And there's good stuff on the horizon, too. More Gunslingers gigs and more Solitary Men shows are in preparation so keep checking the tour dates section for updates. But I'm gonna fly across the big pond for two solo shows. I'm very happy to have been accepted to the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle/Wa. The organizers gave me a cool slot on the Songwriter Showcase with my set to be broadcast live on radio and then I was asked to participate in a tribute to Bob Dylan. It was a no-brainer for me to pay hommage to this genius of a songwriter and whaddayaknow, they're letting me close the Dylan tribute which will also be broadcast live on radio. So whooee, I'm stoked to fly into the great northwest for Folklife and I hope that maybe another one or two gigs can be arranged while I'm there.

But not only the Seattle-ites seem to get it - I've also gotten two very positive reviews for "The Hobo Companion" from two Dutch websites. So check out the articles section.

And if that doesn't convince you to buy the self-burned Companion CD, just trust me. You need this!
Send me an email to Rill@bigfoot.com and order "The Hobo Companion" for 10 Euro or get yourself The Complete Hobo Package with "Hobo Dream" and "The Hobo Companion" at the incredible discount price of 20 bucks.

That's the news for now, folks. Wander around, check out some new pics in the gallery section, drop me a note in the guest book and keep coming back.

See ya,
Markus
