Hi folks,

a belated happy new year to you all and welcome to the website.

The new year is off to a great start for me - and last year ended very well indeed. I just got back from my first ever small tour of the US northwest with a short trip to Nashville, TN., and before that, I played a very nice week-long tour of Germany with Rachel Harrington.
I'll give you an inside look into our road adventures with a little tour diary. Let me just say that it felt real good to feel y'all's appreciation in Germany and the US. Thank you for coming out to the shows!

I'm also really happy about your interest in The Hobo Companion record. I received a whole bunch of CD orders while I was over in the States. Please give me a week or so to send all those CDs out to you. You can still order The Hobo Companion for 10 Euro plus postage or the package Hobo Dream and The Hobo Companion for 20 Euro by sending me an email to Rill@bigfoot.com
The Hobo Companion contains full-band versions of songs by Townes van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen, Gilian Welch, and Johnny Cash, live workouts of previously released original songs and some new songs in solo or acoustic versions. You'll receive a self-burned CD that comes in a jewel case with a printed booklet.
Those of you living in the US may find it more convenient to order the album from www.cdbaby.com

There's other cool stuff on the burner. It's not etched in stone yet but it seems pretty likely that a song of mine will be used in an American feature film. I met the movie's writer & producer in Seattle and he seemed very interested. I'm pretty stoked about that. I'll let you know how that all works out.

And last but not least: Wuerzburg band Trailer Trash have released their debut album "All Those Trailer Park Sweethearts" and I'm glad to be a part of that record. I play guitar and mandolin on two wonderful songs entitled "Omaha Beach" and "Hobo Moon". My close friend Chris Fest and fellow Gunslinger Patrik Gröhn play in that band and I'm real proud of their work. It's a real fine record with some great songs that y'all ought to check out.

Keep checking back for updates and upcoming live shows! Send an email to markusrill@yahoo.com if you want to receive a monthly newsletter from Markus Rill & The Gunslingers.

Stay safe & stay in touch,
Markus
