Hi everyone,

I'm back from the ten-day whirlwind tour and I had a really great time. Together with the band I believe we kicked some serious butt opening for Chris Knight in Frankfurt and Nürnberg. Man, it feels terrific finally having a band that can play back-to-back with some of the finest acts in our type of music and easily hold their own.
Then Patrik and I opened for Chris Cacavas & band in my home town of Aschaffenburg. What a wonderful venue, great people and a good show. After that, I opened two more shows for Chris Knight on my own - both of which went very well - and played two extra shows "headlining" - if that's what you want to call it - in Neubrandenburg & Berlin. The Berlin gig went particularly well with my friends Martin Abend and Leonardo von Papp sitting in on steel guitar and drums, respectively.
Last night was the last show of the bunch, opening for Chris Cacavas in Heilbronn. A highly unusual version of the Gunslingers went on stage that night with Sebastian sitting in for Jan on the drums and Dieter away on vacation. The lovely Janina Klabes came up to sing with us and we did ok. I do however encourage y'all to check the live dates section and see the band in full bloom on our upcoming gigs.

This tour has been a wonderful learning experience. It really feels terrific winning over a new audience every night, realizing that these songs work in a band context as well as a solo arrangement and finding great confidence in one's material and performance.

And we have the new album "Hobo Dream" already available for everyone through the website. Send me an email and I'll get that thing out to you right away. I know you guys are going to enjoy the record. The album will officially be out in stores May 17. You can check out sound samples on www.bluerose-records.com

Stay tuned, see y'all soon,
Markus
